A digital transformation to propel new customer growth

Objective

Back in 2015 UNRVLD initiated our long standing partnership with self storage leader Safestore to create a market leading digital platform to provide the foundation for new customer revenue growth over the coming years. Our combined mission was to enable D2C and B2B customers to easily search, locate, configure and reserve their desired self storage units in one seamless journey.

Approach

Over the last 9 years through a programme of sustained investment Safestore's digital presence has grown to reflect it's position as the UK's largest, and Europe's second largest self storage provider. The website and underlying technology has scaled to meet the demand of territory footprint growth and an increasing customer demand in a hyper competitive market.

Removing journey friction from store search to move-in

In a hyper competitive market it's imperative to capture the customer demand early and provide a frictionless journey to enable customers to discover and understand the product, locate the relevant store and explore the storage unit options available, whilst funnelling them towards a quote generation and subsequent data capture.

UNRVLD has led a programme of user centric design to design, evaluate, measure and optimise the customer journey over time with the goal of maintaining and improving conversion rates against ambitions business growth targets. The mobile first web platform has continued to meet these goals and ensure Safestore has retained its high position in the SERPs over time leading to increased organic customer acquisition.
