Accountable for the growth, retention and strategic direction of a high value client portfolio, the Account Director leads and maintains the relationship between client(s) and UNRLVD. As a trusted advisor to their client(s), they are experts in their brand and business, understanding their business challenges and how they can be overcome through effective engagement with UNRVLD and our expert consultants.  

As a coach and leader to your team, you will foster the optimum conditions where people can thrive and produce their best possible work, delivering value for clients and value for the agency. Mentoring and developing direct reports, you will oversee the pipeline of projects assigned to your team, offering guidance and escalation where required.  

Working with a number of different disciplines within the agency, the AD owns the client relationship in its entirety and ensures clarity on the division of responsibilities and the commercial expectations of a project. Through a positive, knowledgeable, and inspirational attitude, it is the AD's responsibility to set the tone and mood of the team and to manage the structure and day-to-day running of the account. 

Entrepreneurial and commercially minded, they proactively seek and convert short- and long-term opportunities to cross-sell and upsell UNRVLD products and services.  Their mindset is to go above and beyond client expectations and consistently lead by example. Not restricted by the confines of their job description, they contribute to the smooth running of the agency and are committed to playing a key role inbuilding a successful future for our business.

Experience Required:

  • Considerable experience in an accounts-based role 
  • Background in the supply of Digital and/or IT/Development Services 
  • Working with a blend of onshore/offshore service delivery teams.
  • Proven experience in managing and growing a P&L
  • Meeting or exceeding revenue and profit targets for both your team and your own assigned accounts
  • Effective management, retention and/or growth of multiple top tier accounts, whilst successfully leading a team to manage the remainder of your portfolio
  • Evidence of sound, commercially led recommendations and decisions on your accounts
  • Identification and origination of new briefs, subsequent conversion into secured contracts
  • Conversion of project-based accounts into retained accounts with signed multi-year contracts
  • Leadership of winning pitch teams (acquisition of new work with existing clients and/or new clients)
  • Win-win outcomes following successful leadership, ownership, and control of a wide variety of client and delivery issues
  • Evidence of exceptional emotional intelligence, with the ability to lead the teams through challenging situations that naturally occur over the lifetime of a client
  • Positive, proactive management and coaching of your team
  • Accurate financial, commercial and CRM information and reporting
  • Contractual coverage for services rendered
  • Strategic account planning and forecasting abilities
  • New business development and presentations (MBR / QBR)
  • Senior-level relationship management
  • Strong team leadership experience
