In 2021, in their 20th year, Sitecore announced a huge $1bn+ investment to reinvent itself as the market’s leading composable DXP, offering clients a totally re-invigorated roadmap to modern, cloud-based, MACH oriented architecture.
The centrepiece of the platform is XM Cloud, Sitecore’s revised vision for enterprise content management. lightweight, headless, highly flexible and intuitive, the SaaS CMS offers a fresh alternative to XP and XM, with many customers already paving the way to migrate.
Due to the composable nature of the platform, Sitecore has developed a much more open, “friendly neighbour” approach to extend the core capabilities of the core CMS. Clients can much more easily integrate with other market leading platforms for content, data, commerce, search, marketing automation, DAM and more.
